With Glynis and Ken in Alaska, 20 years later finally getting around to read Michner's Alaska and Carl getting an Alaska Cruise guide book I was in the mood to paint this 5" x 7" miniature Eskimo Mother & Child painting from a photo I saw in the cruise guide. I guess this is about as close as I will ever get to Alaska. So this is my daily painting. 8/8/08 the olympics opened today in Bejing, China and I painted this miniature "Alaska Bearded Seal©" which is a gouache water color 7.5" x 5.5" miniature on hand made cotton watercolor paper and then float matted on a 10.5" x 8.75" background matting. It has a raised 11 x 13 white mat added and now it is ready for your favorite frame.

Today I am going to learn how to "paint" on glass using sandblasting equipment. However, her is my latest fused glass "painting".

The painting has been put aside for the past few weeks. I have been "painting" tropical fish with pieces of glass and firing them at 1465 degrees.
