The World According to Arlene

The weather has broken here and the garden and greenhouse is now taking precedent over a great deal of my time. Plus I am working on some fusing glass projects in my kiln and have been working on a large painting. So here is one of I did a while back.

It is a watercolor and it is titled, "Welcome to Boot Hill".

Gallery Price $189.00

I am enjoying painting and firing on float glass. Though I paint a different one each day they all get fired the same time. All these little miniatures have 1 though 4 firings each.

"Young Boy Fishing" is a 4" x 4" painting on glass. It has lead came frame and a chain for hanging in your window or as an ornament on your Christmas Tree.

Well, I don't know whether or not I like this new blog or not. I don't know where all my earlier posts went to with all my daily paintings. So after jumping through a lot of unnecessary hoops and finally giving up trying to think of answers to all of those idiotic, juvenile questions after I had to redo my profile here is today's painting.

Betty is a hostess in one of Las Vegas's newest and most elegant restaurant, "Six Tables" owned by my dear friends, Chef Roland Levi and his wife Gail. This is the latest star in their "Six Tables" Crown and when I was there in early April I told Betty I would paint her picture and I have on a 6" x 6" piece of glass and did two firings of it in my kiln. I will edge it in lead caming, put a chain on it so she can hang it in her window and send it to her.
