"From Arlene's Garden©" is my daily painting. Often I do not do a painting a day, but I do some kind of art or creativity each day. Somedays I am working on about 4 or 5 things during the day. In the evening both Carl and I have all we can do to get out of our chairs. Both of us have to take about 3 or 4 steps before we get our "motors' running as Carl says. It is a funny looking sight. But once we are moving, get out of the way! These are all spring flowers I picked from one of my gardens the other day. It is a gouache watercolor painting with pen and India ink, done on 100% acid free watercolor paper. The size is approximately 8" x 6.5" and has a temporary matting to stablize the painting. It is signed by the artist and comes with an artist signed Certificate of Authenticity and an artist bio.

Still working in the stained glass studio and taking a break from painting. Here is the latest project a large cheese tray from a recycled wine bottle.

"Labeled Bottle Cheese Tray 1003©" is appoximately 12" x 6". The artist has used a Segura Viudas Brut Reserve Cava brown recycled wine bottle that is fused at 1465° F for about 9 hours from start to finish. She then uses a trade secret method to reattach the original label and create a finish that is glass hard without burning up the lable. This is part of award winning American artist Arlene Wright-Correll's "Green Planet Series Recycled Fused Glass" series whereby the artist takes any glass object or broken glass and creates a piece of functional art out of it or with it. Now you can use it to serve cheese. This piece, after use should be hand washed in order to preserve its finish.

It makes a wonderful piece of functional art and a great gift item. It is signed by the artist, dated and numbered and comes with an EBSQ Certificate of Authenticity and an artist bio. It also can be hung on the wall or on a rack hook when not in use and it becomes a decorative art piece.
Buy this "one of a kind" piece of recycled fine art today and help to keep our planet green! Plus all the profits from this piece is sent to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital so you are really doing a great thing by ordering this piece today.

I don't know who the old master is who painted the original painting, but I liked the layout and I did this small 8" x 10" oil on board today and put in the faces of Piper with eyeglasses, Donna in red jacket and Andrew in the middle and I call it "Old Master's Happy Hour". I think I should do these in acrylics as it dries so fast and I can work the faces better as opposed to oils which I become impatient with because of their slowness. I put it in a nice gold wooden frame. After 2 days in the 70's it is trying to snow now! Yikes!

"The Hart County Social Club does the Big Lebowski" by award winning American artist, Arlene Wright-Correll. Arlene says, "On 3/1/09 16 or so people, who had not bowled in 30 to 40 years, went bowling. Carl and I, at the age of 74 & 75, did not bowl as did 2 others. However, the rest managed to get more gutter bowls than we had ever seen in our lives and whenever one got a strike we never saw a 60+ year old jump so high. We also never saw so many people having so much fun!" This is a gouache watercolor with pen and ink illustration of the evening on handmade 100% acid free cotton rag paper with deckled edges.
